This JV has been formulated in response to SAUDI ARAMCO’s ‘IK-EPC initiative’- an endeavor that aims to nurture home grown EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. DAELIM, the Korean partner of the JV, is one of the prominent Korean contractors, and is actively engaged in the construction market in Korea and abroad, with an annual turnover of over USD 6bn in the year 2010.
As a leading EPC contractor in the overseas market, DAELIM focuses on oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical and power generation. However, Middle East continues to remain a major market segment for DAELIM. Further, Saudi Arabia is another major market for DAELIM and ever since its engagement in the Saudi market; DAELIM has been serving many prominent Saudi customers including Aramco. Over a period of time, it has earned a formidable reputation of being a reliable business partner. Today DAR stands out as the prominent engineering company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By combining the two prominent partners together, DAELIM-DAR Company Ltd. is quite determined and eager to grasp the market opportunities in the Kingdom and become a prestigious EPC player in the region within no time.
